Manufacturing
At Scappoose High School, the Fabrication Department is a dynamic, hands-on program built around creativity, innovation, and real-world technical skills. Students gain experience in manual machining, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), CNC machining, and modern manufacturing processes, building a strong foundation for careers in today’s high-demand skilled trades and advanced manufacturing fields.
Our Digital Fabrication program expands student skill sets through 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, graphic design, and apparel production, while also developing advanced computer proficiency. Students work with industry-standard software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Mastercam, and Fusion 360, learning how to take a concept from idea to finished product with accuracy and professionalism.
The curriculum also introduces pathways into welding, sheet metal, industrial engineering, ironwork, and mechanical trades, allowing students to explore multiple career options while developing practical, transferable skills. Through strong partnerships with OMIC Fab Lab, Oregon Aero, Nike, and Pacific Stainless, students benefit from industry exposure, mentorship, and real-world expectations.
We offer PCC dual credit in welding and manufacturing processes, a Pre-Trades Certificate, and OSHA 30 certification, giving students a head start on college, apprenticeships, and the workforce. At Scappoose High School, we’re not just teaching students—we’re building skilled professionals and fabricating futures.
